The Summer Wears Donkey´s Ears * The book was on the 1985 List of Best German Children´s Books; it was also awarded The Prize of the Czech Publisher Albatros 1996.
The Season of Secret Wishes * The book won the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 1989, the Czech Prize for Young Literature, the Golden Ribbon 1992 and it was also on the list of the Best Children´s Books of the Year 1989 in the USA.
